Kerung trade pass to resume from October 28

Kathmandu, October 27: The Chinese side has prepared to resume the Rasuwagadhi Kerung International Highway from Monday, October 28. The highway was closed due to floods and landslides from recent incessant rains. Chief District Officer of Rasuwa, Arjun Poudel, informed that the Chinese counterpart across the border has informed that the road in the Chinese territory, which has been blocked by incessant rains will be completed by Sunday and will be brought into operation from Monday. Poudel said that Nepal’s Consul General in Lhasa, Nawaraj Dhakal, has helped greatly in facilitating trade and business between Nepal and China by operationalizing the highway.
