Kathmandu, October 25: Chief Executive Officer of Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Alice Albright met with Nepal’s visiting DPM and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel in Washington.

During the meeting, discussions were held on the projects implemented since last year under the compact agreement of the Millennium Challenge Corporation and the inter-country transmission line, according to the Nepali Embassy in Washington.

Accordingly, Deputy Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Bo Li also met with Finance Minister Paudel. They discussed financial assistance, consulting services and technical assistance.

The Deputy Executive Director said that Nepal’s economic progress was satisfactory. The Finance Minister was accompanied by Finance Secretary Ram Prasad Ghimire, Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Mahaprasad Adhikari and Charge d’affaires in Washington, Kumarraj Kharel.
