NSC recommends to purchase arms for Nepal Army
Kathmandu, October 28: The National Security Council has proposed to purchase arms, ammunition and military equipment needed by the Nepal Army.
Defence Secretary Rameshwar Dangal informed that the meeting of the Council held on Sunday proposed to purchase military equipment for the army. The proposal approved by the cabinet opens the way for the army to purchase weapons.
The meeting discussed the national and international security challenges and precautions to be taken and the future strategy to be adopted for the security of the Nepal Army in the Middle East.
The Security Council comprises the prime minister, the defence minister, the home minister, the foreign minister, the finance minister and the principal secretary.
