One million people expected to leave Kathmandu during the festival
In the past three days, three hundred thousand people left Kathmandu by road, according to the Nepal Police. This trend will continue until Saturday, the Tika day of the Dasain festival.
The flow of people leaving Kathmandu will increase from Thursday and Friday, October 10 and 11 and the government holiday begins.
People willing to go to their homes for the festival are unable to get air as well as bus tickets. They are travelling to their homes by reserving small vehicles.
Despite poor road conditions due to the floods, people are travelling to their homes even suffering a lot.
