Chinese aircraft in Pokhara

Kathmandu, November 7: A Chinese aircraft carrying a team of 131 participants of the Pokhara International Mountain Cross Country Race, which will kick off on Friday, November 8, has landed at Pokhara Regional International Airport.

The aircraft, Airbus 319 of Sichuan Airlines, carrying 131 Chinese nationals from Kunming Airport in Yunnan Province, landed at Pokhara Airport at 2: 40 pm on Thursday. The aircraft was welcomed with a water salute at the Pokhara Airport.

Pokhara International Mountain Cross Country Race is being held in Pokhara from Friday. Chinese players are also participating. There were also some Chinese tourists on the aircraft.

The tournament is being jointly organized by the Nepal Tourism Board, National Sports Council, Pokhara Metropolitan City and the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu. The Pokhara-Kunming International Friendship Cities League will be held for three days during the competition.

The aircraft has arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu after dropping passengers in Pokhara.
