Minister in human trafficking
Kathmandu, November 7: How are political leaders abusing power for personal gains, the outgoing minister in the Kosi Province, Lilaballav Adhikari, is an example.
Adhikari, minister for internal affairs and law, had gone to Japan along with a group producing fake documents.
The sitting minister and a group of Nepalis were detained by the Japanese immigration officials at the Airport and deported to Kathmandu after suspecting the document produced by the Nepali group led by minister Adhikari.
In Kathmandu, during a Police investigation, those under Police arrest stated that they had paid from one million rupees to 1.3 million rupees to Adhikari to reach Japan.
After being involved in human trafficking, Adhikari tendered his resignation to the Chief Minister of the Koshi Province.
