Despite Minister’s commitment, construction companies didn’t get payment

Kathmandu, October 11: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transportation, Devendra Dahal had expressed the commitment that he would clear all the dues of the construction companies before the Dasain festival, yet, the companies failed to get their payments.

The construction companies are yet to receive 3 billion 500 million rupees from the Ministry, informed the Minister and said that he would make efforts to clear all dues by next month.

Understandably, the government’s nonproductive sector expenditure is higher than its revenue and it is managing expenditure by taking foreign and domestic debts. The government’s non-productive sector expenditure has increased after the introduction of the federal structures.
