Nepal Airlines to operate special flight to Bhairahawa on Fulpati
Kathmandu, October 8: The Nepal Airlines Corporation, the national flag carrier, is operating its narrow-body aircraft to and from Kathmandu-Bhairahawa on the Fulpati day on October 10, to airlift the passengers stuck in Kathmandu during the Dasain festival.
The NAC has decided to operate flights to and from Bhairahawa to facilitate passengers waiting to go to their homes during the Dasain festival.
Due to the poor condition of roads, many travellers are unable to get bus and air tickets. Viewing the problem faced by the travellers, Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, instructed the government undertaking to operate flights to Bhairahawa to facilitate passengers stuck in Kathmandu, according to Ubaraj Adhikari, Executive Chair of the corporation.
According to the NAC flight schedule, the A320 aircraft will depart from Kathmandu at 11:00 AM for Bhairahawa, returning to Kathmandu at 12:30 PM. The Corporation has set the fare at Rs 7,000 for Kathmandu to Bhairahawa and Rs 3,890 for Bhairahawa to Kathmandu.
