NAC says three aircraft providing international service

Kathmandu, October 21: The Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has stated that it is conducting international flights with its three aircraft.

In a press release, NAC has condemned false media propaganda that four aircraft in its international flights have been grounded.

NAC has clarified that two narrow-body aircraft of the Corporation are on regular flights, a wide-body aircraft came into operation after changing some parts that arrived in Kathmandu from Italy on October 20.

“Since the aircraft is a mechanical item operated by a specific technical mechanism, the aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation has been regularly maintained in accordance with the standards set by the aircraft manufacturing company and the regulatory body. It has been an international practice to conduct regular flights after maintenance within the prescribed standards, although sometimes there may be sudden technical problems on the aircraft. Depending on the nature of the problem and the available resources, usually, the aircraft can be repaired and airworthy within a short time, but sometimes it can take a long time”, NAC spokesman Ramesh Poudel stated.

“Due to technical reasons, the passengers of the three aircraft had to be transported by two aircraft, due to which the flights were delayed, the Corporation apologizes for the inconvenience caused to the passenger class”, the spokesman said.
