Kathmandu, October 17: The Nepal Airlines Corporation has paid the instalment for the month of Aswin, 2081 for two narrow-body aircraft and a partial instalment of two wide-body aircraft purchased for international flights. The Corporation paid Rs. 53,09,55, 281. 

After the management of the Corporation was taken over by the current leadership, the Corporation has paid a total amount of Rs 6,32,85,97,533 in the period up to 2081 BS.

In addition, due to the adverse impact on the Corporation’s business due to the global Coronavirus, the Corporation has sent a request letter to the Employees’ Savings Fund and the Civil Investment Fund, the agencies which had given loans to procure the four aircraft, to cooperate by waiving interest, interest on interest, damages and penalties for the affected period and to facilitate the payment of debt obligations by increasing the number of instalments and discussions are also being held in this regard.
