NA Chair Dahal leaves for Geneva

Kathmandu, October 12: A nine-member Nepali parliamentary delegation, led by National Assembly Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal, has left for Geneva, Switzerland, to attend the 149th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).

Dahal is to deliver a speech on behalf of Nepal on “Leveraging Science, Technology and Innovation for a Peaceful and Sustainable Future.”

President Dahal is also scheduled to meet with the representatives of different countries participating in the General Assembly and the office bearers of the Inter-Legislative Association and the Secretariat.

Members of Parliament Sunita Baral and Nisha Dangi are included in the delegation led by Speaker Dahal.

The delegation includes National Assembly members Taramon Swarn and Krushnaprasad Poudel and secretary general of the federal parliament Padma Prasad Pandey. The delegation is scheduled to return home on October 19.
