Kharkot-Manthali road opens after installation of Bailey Bridge
Kathmandu, October 24: After the installation of the Bailey Bridge, the road connecting Sindhuli’s Khurkot and Ramechhap’s Manthali has come into operation. The bridge connecting Sindhuli’s Khurkot and Ramechhap’s Manthali was washed away due to incessant rains floods and landslides. The Nepal Army, which installed the Bailey Bridge, said that two-way traffic has come into operation now. The Bailey Bridge was installed with the support of the Road Department and the Nepal Army.
The BP highway was blocked after the bridge collapsed, while commuters had to travel through other alternative roads. Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal has felicitated the technicians and Nepal Army personnel engaged in the construction of the Sunkoshi River Bailey Bridge connecting Sindhuli and Ramechhap.
